Tottenham Hotspur's Kieran Trippier celebrates victory after the Premier League match at Selhurst Park, London.

Kieran Trippier signs five-year deal and says best is yet to come

Rising Stellar star Kieran Trippier has signed a new five-year deal with Tottenham Hotspur.

The 26-year-old right back said he was “absolutely delighted” with the deal, which keeps him with Spurs until 2022.

The new contract comes after Kieran claimed his place in Tottenham’s first team after a string of impressive performances which also saw him earn his first cap for the England national squad.

But far from resting on his laurels, Kieran said he had even more to offer last season’s Premier League runners-up as he prepares for the new season.

Kieran, who signed from Burnley in 2015, said: “I’m delighted with the new deal, it’s a great achievement. I’m delighted to get it signed.

“I’ve learned a lot with the travelling in the Europa League and Champions League and playing with the players that we have here – and the manager also – so it’s been a great experience, a learning experience. I’m always developing and there’s more to come.

“I will always give 100 per cent, my team-mates know that, and I’ll always do my best for the team and the club.”

Kieran’s agent at Stellar Group, Greg Wadsworth, said: “Since the first time we saw him play we knew Kieran had the talent and determination to get to the top of the game.

“Now that this deal is done, Kieran can get ready for the new season, which promises to be the best yet.”
