16 Jun Magnificent seven Stellar stars battling for England Euros glory
England Under 21s kick off their quest for European Championship glory with seven Stellar stars among their ranks.
Stellar clients Jordan Pickford, Rob Holding, Jack Grealish, James Ward-Prowse, Ben Chilwell, Jack Stephens and Cauley Woodrow are in the squad for the Polish finals and raring to go as they try to emulate the success of their under 20 counterparts who lifted the World Cup in Korea in early June.
Stellar Managing Director David Manasseh said: “Stellar only represents the brightest and best players, so it is no surprise to see seven players in the England under 21 squad.
“Every one of these players are on their way to becoming major stars and it will be great to watch them proudly representing their country and competing with the cream of Europe’s young talent in the European championships.”
Who’s who – a quick guide
Jordan Pickford (Everton)
Many fans will be wanting to see Jordan in action following his big money transfer from Sunderland to Goodison Park. Easily one of Britain’s best goalkeepers, he just missed out on a call-up to the England senior side last time.
Rob Holding (Arsenal)
Fresh from breaking into the big time with the Gunners and lifting the FA Cup after dominant display against Chelsea at Wembley, the centre back’s reputation as star defender continues to rise with every game he plays.
Jack Grealish (Aston Villa)
The midfielder made his senior debut with Villa in 2014 and is establishing himself as a first-team player with a reputation for speedy runs and brilliant ball control. Recently he pledged his future to England over Ireland and will be looking to show off his skills on the European stage.
James Ward-Prowse (Southampton)
England’s captain and a regular with the Saints’ senior team, the central midfielder is famed for his leadership, passing and creativeness as well as his relentless attacking style and will to win.
Cauley Woodrow (Fulham)
Fresh from a terrific spell on-loan at Burton Albion, the centre forward has a great eye for goal and powerful shot. After helping Albion secure their Championship status in 2016/17, he is sure to make an even bigger splash in the forthcoming season.
Ben Chilwell (Leicester City)
The left back made his senior debut for the Foxes in December and has been praised throughout the game as a rising star due to an intelligent, creative and hard-working style of play. Looks certain to cement his place in the Premiership next season.
Jack Stephens (Southampton)
The centre back has forced his way into the senior squad with a host of commanding performances in the heart of the Saints defence which have seen him become a firm favourite with fans and an opponent to dread.
