ICM STELLAR ATHLETES SHOW THEY HAVE GOLDEN FUTURE

ICM Stellar athletes continue to set the pace this season with three more stunning triumphs.

At the indoor meeting in Torun, Poland, Elliot Giles beat the British 800m record with a sensational 1.43.64  – a win which shaves a full second off Olympic hero Sebastian Coe’s 31-year-old British record and is the second best indoor time in history.

Elsewhere, American Grant Holloway racked up his second win this month with 7.38 in the 60m hurdles and remains just eight-hundredths of a second within beating the world record. In the women’s 60m hurdles, meanwhile, fellow Team USA member Christine Clemons put in a flawless performance to win in 7.81s – the best indoor time recorded this year.

Stellar Athletics operations director Jennifer Stoute said: “It has been a thrilling season for ICM Stellar athletes and these latest victories place our athletes as main contenders for the European indoors in March and Olympic Games later this year

“For Elliot to beat Seb Coe’s British record after such a long time was a really special moment and Christine and Grant look absolutely unbeatable. All we can see is golds.”
